WordCamp Comes to Dublin!
WordPress is the biggest Content Management System in use today for websites so if you’re managing a site or work in the industry – chances are you’ve bumped into it more than once!
WordCamp is a global event about all things WordPress and it’s coming to Dublin for the first time on the 14th & 15th of October! Defo a date for the diary if you’re a WordPress nut like we are!
The event will run in the DCU Campus for a whole weekend so it’ll be an ideal opportunity to meet some other WordPress fanatics and keep up to date on the latest WP developments.
What to Expect at WordCamp
There’s a growing WordPress community in Dublin and there’s regular meetups held in the city that cover topics including; SEO, Site Speed Issues, WooCommerce, Security……. Essentially, WordCamp is a bigger version of one of these meetups!
WordCamps are very informal and its run on a not-for-profit basis, which keeps tickets affordable – it’s about sharing ideas, getting to know other people in the industry and increasing your WordPress knowledge.
The weekend will be organised around a series of talks, panel discussions, workshops, Q&A sessions etc and the vast majority of these will be focused on WordPress. You’ll get to hear about website design and development and much more from leading industry experts!
To date almost 800 WordCamps have taken place around the world so it’s fantastic to see one being organised in Dublin and we’re all super excited here in the office!!

Think you have what it takes to Wow the crowd?? You can apply now in the call for speakers and share your knowledge with the rest of the community. WordCamp wants to cover lots of different topics areas, both tech and business related, so anything from PHP Customisation to GDPR might nab a spot!
