Health Matters is an Irish owned chain of health stores which first opened their doors in Bray in 1998. The business has since expanded to operate across five locations in Dublin and Wicklow, as well as selling through this busy store.
The site offers a wide range of health products from vitamins and minerals to dietary supplements. Over the years, Health Matters has established itself as leading experts with high quality products and in-depth knowledge of how and when the products should be used
Key Considerations
Despite heavily investing in an existing site, there continued to be a number of technical challenges and the business owner took the brave decision to start afresh. Inspiration designed and built a new site, on WordPress and with WooCommerce. One of the technical issues related to plug-ins – there were too many and they had not been kept up-to-date effectively.
A number of these were not necessary, others were replaced with bespoke programming. Effective search options were essential from a user perspective the new build included brand and product searches, and an A-Z search by ailment. The site became essential to the business through Covid and the decision to build a new platform proved to the right one.
